As CIBSE Lead Assessors, NRG Focus provide detailed, cost-effective ESOS Phase 2 Audit services, compliant with all the regulations and requirements of Phase 2. Based in Sheffield, we provide services throughout surrounding Yorkshire areas such as Leeds and York, with services spanning throughout the UK.

The Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) is a mandatory government scheme which affects up to 10,000 UK organisations, and must be carried out every four years. The deadline for Phase 2 is 5th December 2019. The scheme has been designed to increase awareness of energy consumption in UK industry to make it easier for businesses to take action, lower their energy bills, and lower the rate of carbon emissions across the UK.

ESOS applies to your company if it has more than 250 employees, or an annual turnover exceeding €50m and a balance sheet exceeding €43m. If you had to comply with Phase 1, and your business still fell within the ESOS threshold on 31st December 2018, compliance with Phase 2 will be mandatory using the same process. The new audit will look to expand on further savings. If your business did not fall within the remit of ESOS in Phase 1, but has since grown to fall within the remit, then you must also comply with Phase 2.

Lets Get Started

ESOS Lead Assessor

Participants in ESOS must have a Lead Assessor to undertake various roles in relation to their ESOS Assessment. Your appointed Lead Assessor will have to undertake, oversee or review your ESOS Energy Audits and/or any other auditing activities, such as Display Energy Certificate assessments, overseeing the measurement of your total energy consumption, identifying areas of significant energy consumption, and conducting ESOS Energy Audits.Your Lead Assessor will also have to sign off your overall ESOS Assessment once complete, confirming it meets the overall requirements.

You may wish to have an ESOS Assessor help oversee other parts of the ESOS Assessment process, so should consider what other qualifications and experience they hold and how these might benefit you in getting the best results from your audits. As a CIBSE Lead Assessor, NRG Focus provide TM44 Inspections, Level 5 EPCs, and Display Energy Certificate assessments.
